To get this perspective from working people - the salt of the earth - is refreshing. It makes a change from the views emanating from either camp and reinforces the concerns of many who are disillusioned with the current status quo. The reporter should be congratulated on a first class job. - 15 June 2016 21:27314830To their credit the paper has done a few articles that have centred on ground down working class communities Patrick which will make uncomfortable reading for their mainly metropolitan liberal dinner party readership. Labour activists in Stoke on Trent, Sunderland and Lincolnshire have drawn a blank when urging people to vote remain. People go by their own experiences when deciding which way to vote, lower wages, longer waits for housing, doctor's and hospital appointments don't affect the comfortably off.
There is a sea change all over the western world in my view where people are rejecting the establishment in favour of populism. Remove the Chancellor of the Exchequer from his position.
George Osbourne has risked the future economic stability of this country by declaring a hypothetical budget post brexit. Mr Osbourne's claims could be self-fulfilling. The Chancellor of a major economic power warning of recessions, tax increases and spending cuts is enough to shake market confidence
The sight of a Chancellor of a major economy claiming his currency is going to fall can only ever be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Mr Osbourne's actions have the potential to cause all the same problems, as the brexit he is so desperate to warn us about. Mr Osbourne says brexit makes us less secure weaker and poorer. Yet he unwittingly spouts unproven forecasts which when given credibility by someone in his position will certainly frighten investors in the same way as he claims a brexit vote would - 16 June 2016 02:22314832

A very difficult decision will have to be made as to when things get restarted.
