Regardless of party politics it is a shame Sunak gets the blame for the decisions made by his parents, I doubt he was given a choice on anything they saw as really important.
As a personality I still prefer Sunak over Starmer but he makes some bad decisions or relies far to much on poor advise.

Interesting mix of policies from Plaid Cymru:
- the decriminalisation of "soft" drugs*
- no renewal of the Trident nuclear weapons system
- the UK to re-enter the EU customs union
- Wales to be allowed to take part in the Eurovision song contest.
* I take it these are paracetamols that have got sprayed with tap water by mistake, like mine this morning.
However, as the BBC points out: Plaid would need to work with another party in Westminster to make its policies a reality.

Bet you he doesn't. Most of his social feed seems to be sitting in rather nice coffee cafes in Deal with his dog!

I really think people are deluded if they think Mike Tapp is a breath of fresh air! He’s simply part of the Labour Party machine, in the same way Stephen James is for the Tories. Both have stood for local elections in Tunbridge Wells and Folkestone but failed to get elected. But hey ho let’s now take a step up to parliamentary elections and move to Dover/Deal constituency for a change where people don’t know us. Come on Dover voters - read about these candidates before you cast your vote, what have they ever done? They cannot influence government policy because they would be back bench MPs with now clout whatsoever. Vote for someone who has Dover at heart and not simply their own political ambitions.

In which case why worry about where the candidate lives if they have no influence being back benchers.
Sorry but all politicians when they try to become MPs are only there for " their own political ambitions." in some form or another.

I disagree - if you have failed to get elected in your local area then why try somewhere else if it’s not simply political ambition. I think it is very important that the candidate is part of the community and understands the problems of the constituents. At least one of the independent candidates has a track record of serving his community.

I'm more in line with Arthur than Sue on this one.
I don't blame Sunak for his parents decisions , but like has been said his advisors have not helped him if the answers he gives is advice given.

Ms Duffield seems a standard Labour cut-out to me (remainer, LFI, etc.). The irksome thing about her is that she remembers her school human biology classes.
If she would only forget these, I'm sure New Labour would fully embrace her.

Just for a slight change of topic.
I think we all know they are no hopers when it comes to winning the GE but how can anyone take the Lib Dems seriously when Sir Ed Davey keeps playing the fool with his publicity stunts for the camera.

One of a politician's many delusions is that he thinks he's a deeply serious person while everyone else is a fool. Hence the compensatory cringe attempts at public 'just like you', 'human' behaviour lest he appear 'too' serious (wearing a t-shirt or baseball cap, eating a burger, digging BritPop).
These efforts prove only that he is, after all, a fool.
