Whether right or wrong Councillors who are willing to stand up and have their voices heard are exactly what we need in local politics, so good for you Ex-Cllr Vic Matcham.
The vast majority just sit back tow the party line and take the pocket money, without giving a Damn about the community they serve.

I think the point was missed there

Didn't like the infighting
Yet I pointed out his own infighting in the Town hall
Where really most people were embarrassed by him
As he was not in the wavelength of anyone present

You are right Keith you did miss the point.
Vic didn't like the infighting; because thats what you had to do to get things to change or have your voice heard.
I didn't like working in London so stopped working in London does that make me a hypocrite for stopping doing something I didn't like? or Is it that I'm just not allowed to say I didn't like it?

You are right sir it was the only WAY then to get a point of view over, they were not allowing the public to say anything but just sit there and hear them keeping on.sorry but that was not my way. I was also standing then not only as a cllr but also a candidate for the job of MP ,

Over the next couple of years they multiplied until there were nearly 50 of them so we got a bigger tank for them. Then they started to die off and stop breeding, the live ones ate the dead ones and soon there were none left.

If your point was to show someone's hypocrisy you fell at the first hurdle

just to mAKE A POINT of it that I was elected to all of them if no one wished to stand against me nothing I could do about that. AND THE FIRST ONE was the town council and I took the seat off Gorden but yes did lose it again 4 years later all the rest I won by the public.
I did not lose them i GAVE up after some years because of my work.

If there are not enough candidates then there is no election.River Parish Council have not had an election for many years as not enough people have put their names forward.

Therefore the residents did not vote for anyone’s..If. Eleven people had put their names forward there would have been a ballot paper so ten got elected.A lot of Parish councils donot have elections these days as not enough people are interested. My first RPC election sixteen people and I was one of the ten elected .

I do think it more healthy if your elected , like Sue from a list of 16 and one of 10 elected .
Gordon was never defeated by this chump
