Macron is the only presidential candidate who has pledged to retain the Le Touquet agreement. Although most Brits seem to dislike him intensely, he's a lot more of an anglophile than people might think.
I still can't understand where we are going on the import of goods. We're now in a position where goods entering the port of Rotterdam (for example) marked as a UK bound onward consignment will only be checked for items like firearms or drugs. Beyond that, the EU no longer cares. This applies to goods from all over the world - Brazil, India, the U.S, wherever.
Anyone who has worked in imports/exports will know that smuggling and profiteering will fill any available vacuum.

As we head towards another general election ,
With or without bungling Boris
Look at our local choice .
Elphicke
Or
Labours loser
Not much choice
of course we suppose some will protest vote , or not vote at all keeping Elphicke in place .

Of course here you are going the other way

Who on earth is giving Natalie comms advice by the way? She's all over Twitter for bizarre posts and given she has switched off replies, invites ridicule.

"I welcome my right hon. Friend’s apology. He has taken responsibility; he has apologised; and it is right that he should do so. Can he confirm that tackling the small boats crisis will remain top in the new Office of the Prime Minister, because that is what the country wants to see—this Prime Minister getting on with the job?"
Well, my grandmother used to tell tea-leaves but I doubt that even she could have divined that the country wants to see this Prime Minister continuing in office. I thought Baroness Davidson was nearer the mark.
