Perhaps she yearns for a junior ministerial role or maybe a job in the whip's office, following the footsteps of her illustrious ex husband? Whatever, she appears to have nailed her colours to the mast. Like all Tory MPs she has to decide how toxic her boss really is in the eyes of the public.
I don't know many people, even among local Tory votes, who can honestly say they will continue to believe a word BoJo says. He's a proven habitual liar. Some would even say a pathological liar. If that's the standards that our principled MP wants to uphold, then on her own head be it.

Can he confirm that tackling the small boats crisis will remain top in the new Office of the Prime Minister, because that is what the country wants to see—this Prime Minister getting on with the job?"
Well, my grandmother used to tell tea-leaves but I doubt that even she could have divined that the country wants to see this Prime Minister continuing in office. I thought Baroness Davidson was nearer the mark.
That was a very carefully worded double edged response from Natalie, very concise with an added dig about the boats. Maybe she does want to stand again
and finally understands how the public feels about Boris and those who openly fully support him, but wants to keep near him just in case he survives.

Predictably banal, autopilot support from Natalie. Maybe she'd be better advised to keep her power dry and try and gain some leverage for the community before she so predictably falls into line? That's what the experienced politicians are doing....

Though Mrs Elphicke may have poor lines, I'm heartened that she's reached across the floor and handed her entire cake allocation to Ian Blackford.

Worrying, isn't it? Mad Nad. An archetypal Johnson acolyte. And to think people used to post on here self-righteously taking the mick out of Diane Abbott.

Johnson's sycophants appear to be dropping like flies. How long before spineless Natalie changes her tune (like she did over Cummings).....

It is starting to feel like the only people really backing Johnson are Fabricant, Dorries and JRM. Not a gaggle you want to be associated with.

Few people are criticised for showing loyalty however misplaced (See 'Our' Charlie)
Few people who see off a leader are trusted by his replacement.

Let's just cast our minds back to when this hapless individual's main objective was to eat a camel's toe and an ostrich's anus on live TV. For God's sake, these idiots represent our country.

I find it strange the vast majority of Tory MPs still back him
Surely a fair number are in marginal seats ?

I must say that I feel rather sorry for Mrs Elphicke. She worked hard to get her own thread, and now it's been taken over by aliens.
