This might appear strange , but because MPs lack the ability to engage , they all use photo shoots , so here I am slightly supporting Naterlie Lol.
I don't like her politics, but photo shoots ,all candidates have always done it!

Yes they do but the difference is that at least some of those pictures will be with the constituents they have helped rather than staged photo shoots usually with very minor dignitaries or when they open something.

In real world your correct Jan , but she's not the only candidate//MP to do this.
Over the years both major parties have done it, and do it .

I'm surprised - I'd assumed Natalie would be a Truss supporter, but it seems she's in for a Penny:

She’s deluded! But I’m guessing she’s highly unlikely to get a cabinet position in a Sunak government.

To be brutally honest they are all part of the same neo-liberal school of thought (for those who can be bothered look up Sankher Singham, ZEDEs, Dr Barbara Kolm etc) and there is therefore little to choose between them.
I am still trying to get my head round the slight of hand of a government tabling a VONC in itself; and their MPS voting against it even after they had pretty much forced out the incumbent PM,

Such a brutally ironic situation.

It makes a difference if you only speak to people who tell you that you are great you start to believe it

Time to play the French joker again, I fancy (the beauty of which is that you can't really lose - if nothing happens then you've Kept Dover Clear, and if it all snarls up then you've been proved right). Hence Natalie Elphicke's tweet:
"Last weekend’s French ‘no show’ farce is a reminder that we can’t simply rely on the French to act sensibly and proportionately when it comes to managing the European border and its impact on our community."
Whereas the previous MP had a slightly different take on things. When the French beefed-up border checks in the wake of the 2016 Nice terror attacks and 14-hour jams formed on the M20, the Sun reported Charlie Elphicke as saying:
"Deep down we know that if this happened at Heathrow there would be uproar. Ministers would loom large on our TV screens, moving heaven and earth to sort it out. But it’s somehow seen as okay for tens of thousands of holidaymakers and truckers to be stuck in the sweltering heat all day long without water, food, information or toilet facilities. You can’t help but get the impression that travelling from the Channel Ports is looked down upon and far less of a priority than the elite jet-set.”
In a flash the whole Levelling-Up agenda was born. And very youthful he looked too:

I rate Charlie a better MP than Natalie. His comments in 2016 very true.Note the date 2016 and nothing has changed.A bit like KCC East Kent the end of the Garden of England treated differently to West Kent.
We will see what happens this weekend.A joker on another forum says it’s only one day a year .
Still it’s up to us to write letters one day the powers of bee will take us seriously .

Anyone would be better than Natalie, I no longer bother to read the waffle she posts as it means nothing.
Six years since Charlie's remarks and our traffic problems have not changed. I really think nothing will drastically change until someone really important is inconvenienced or some unfortunate person dies because medical help could not reach them.

Appears some of agencies worked together which made things that much smoother .
What we should ask ourselves is, how did the MP double the majority when she was just as unpopular as she is today?
Some of her vote could be anti Corbyn, and a little sympathy on her home life at the time with Charlie .
But is her vote going to hold up?
