Well, just in case I didn't make it clear enough: my point
wasn't about 'anti-semitism in the Tory Party'. In fact, it wasn't ultimately about anti-semitism at all, but the
partiality of our state broadcaster. Could you imagine the fuss had Corbyn attended a similar unveiling? No, you probably couldn't.
As for 'conservapedia': '
Conservapedia is undergoing scheduled maintenance that should complete in less than 30 minutes. Please try again soon. Thank you for your patience.' Well, patience isn't one of my many virtues.
But (since you raise it) though anti-semitism crosses the political spectrum, it is overwhelmingly a property of the political right. But I won't dig around in any left-wing rag for my evidence, nor in any Jewish left-wing rag for that matter. So, here's something from The Economist:
If you want the article, it's here:
https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2019/10/12/drawing-the-line-between-anti-semitism-and-criticism-of-israel. But you'll need a sub.
And there it is (surprise, surprise): 'anti-semitism in the Labour Party' never really was about anti-semitism in the Labour Party, but about foreign policy.

I wouldn't normally quote myself, but my 11-day-old statement's now out of date. The percentage just went up:

I see that Nathan Sutton, the landlord of The Duchess pub, is standing in the forthcoming General Election as Independent Brexit. This is not the first time that a landlord of this pub has stood in a General Election, my old mate, Bill Stone, stood as Independent Social Democrat in 1974 when he was the landlord, the pub was called the Dover Tavern in those days. Bill got 661 votes. Bill and myself still go in the Duchess occasionally, maybe he can give Nathan a few tips.

Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, but do we think it's the plan that if Charlie is found not guilty, that Natalie would stand down, trigger a by election that Charlie would then contest as a the Tory candidate? I'd not thought of this until reading that it is the plan for Boris Johnson, should he lose Uxbridge - occurs to me we have a similar case.

The above presupposes Natalie wins, of course.

Johnson undergoes yet another grilling from the BBC's most feared interrogators. For balance, they ought to start laying into Corbyn soon:

Whoops! ITV, of course. Same difference.

Having too much time on my hands, I downloaded Labour's manifesto to see if it said anything about ownership of ports and airports. I couldn't find anything on that, but what I did spot was giving councils the full legal powers cost-effectively to take public ownership of bus networks; can't say as I'd heard that mentioned before...
Wow, DTC meets On The Buses; the mind boggles!

When I tried to talk to him about EV charging points he told me it was complicated as they use 'different sorts of electricity'!
