I do look forward however i can see a bigger picture excuse the pun .When we have to pay for policing and repairs and clean the streets after events then it will be the council tasx payers who will bare the cost .Yes I do like Tenderten and a wealthy area it is to,clean streets and decent shops.
I do know planning very well and every member should be impartial .Yes i wasnt chosen to sustitute as i would have tipped the balance
All the time that has been spent on this could have gone to bringing our other projects forward .Its something when the Chief Excutive is brought in to speak .It would never have happened when the previous Chief was with us ..

Good news about the screen. Well done to the Tories for voting for it.
Something positive at last. We want anything positive, just anything, please.
While I'm here, here's a curved ball from along the coast - how about turning the beautiful former Regent Bingo Hall (currently boarded up, natch, and seemingly destined for Snoops levels of dereliction and unsightliness) on Deal seafront into a farmers' market/local produce hub, including cafes, meat and fish stalls and also European food market traders, a la Goods Shed in Canterbury?
Now that would be something. Slap bang on the seafront. Totally unique.
If this was Whitstable they'd do it. And Deal's heritage is very similar to that of our oyster-chomping chums on the north Kent coast. Any thoughts?
Well done again all who voted for the big screen,
Andy

Wetherspoons have Snoops, as far as I know (which is very little) - and what a fine job they're doing with it too.
They don't have the Regent, as far as I know (which, I repeat, is very little).
I believe the council have the Regent.
Yours satirically - good weekend all (keep smiling!),

Thanks Paul!
It'd look nice with a bit of matching light blue paint on the chipboard hoardings for the summer to tart it up, until such time as it gets a new lease of life.
Bit of an eyesore as it stands at the moment - and such a lovely building.
Cheers,
Andy

It is moving. There are too many prying eyes with interests for me to be more definitive.

Up till now I have not have not said anything about the big screen, but I am on Cllr Sue side on this one, time will tell but I have a feeling that this will cause a big problem at nights and the weekends, and I for one would not like to be resident of any of the flats there, and if any of the resident have to get up and go to work in the morning how can they sleep at nights? and what about their QUIETNESS AND CALM at home, most of us can go home from work at nights close the door and relax but can they? and it is a no to that.
The D.D.C. and D.T.C. I think on this one are wrong, again time will tell, but I for one feel very sorry for the residents there.
I remain yours faithfully Vic M
Could be worse though Vic, they could have you for a neighbour instead

I don't believe the big-screen will be a problem late evening night-time as it will be turned off at 11pm, so when people are coming out of the pubs etc at 1 - 2 am, it won't be on.
During the day, I think it will be managed well and a good natured audience will be prominent. Evidence shows that these TV's reduce asb.
If I'd have thought otherwise, I wouldn't have voted for it.

Mandie and Brian, Well done both very very good we should have more fun like that.
But Roger like most of us you do not live there, if they put that screen right outside your home you would be the very first one to try and stop it, and that is how you and the others should look at it.
Not from 2miles away but from your front door, you just think about that one.
