Noticed a new mobile phone shop has opened next to 'La Scala' and with the nail bar that little section is now looking a lot better. Further along the High Street the new micropub looks ready to open called something scarecrow.

Rooks don't seem in a great hurry to get their new shop open, will be interesting to see whether the footfall improves with their presence.

Had a brief glance at the new Rook's this morning looks nearly ready to open, my impression was that is smaller than their current one.

Rooks still seem a way off opening their Market Square shop, could be a big rush moving during the busiest month of the year for them.

Rooks are planning to open in new store on Monday 16th, should be plenty of time to get fitting out completed.

Nice lay out at the new Rooks hasn't seemed so busy as the old one when I have passed it.
Fountain outside now closed for the Winter.

i hope Rooks does well, the shop looks nice,it was in a good position at its old shop but i just cant see as many people will be bothered to walk extra way to the new place.

Twice I have decided not to go the extra distance for hot pasties and sausage rolls, doesn't help that there is not enough room to queue in store and this time of year standing out is not an option for many.

It has been beautifully fitted out. I am sure lots of visitors in the summer will appreciate the pastries.

I think it was a bad idea to move there, no where near the footfall as the old shop.
I used to walk to Rooks now I would have to catch a bus to an area I have no reason to visit, I will not bother and there must be many who feel like me.

I can only think that the freeholders saw the great success of Rooks and thought they would cash in by raising the rent, a bit like when Rab ran the Golden Lion. The bus service to Market Square is once an hour from Temple Ewell and once an hour from Maxton, not much use to the greater populace.
