The town centre hasn't got over Christmas yet, was in the town centre twice today and the weather was fine but hardly anyone about considering it was a Saturday.

They will always be busy with many of their customers very elderly who lived their working life in the age of final salary pension schemes and many of the middle aged ones are from Folkestone because their one closed.

Went past the Allotment late this afternoon, lights were on and it looked like nothing had changed to the inside regarding lay out and furniture.
Noticed earlier that the junk shop that was previously Cab for 1 was empty so that didn't last long.

The junk shop is to do with the one across the road near the Charlton centre. Its been shut because they cannot hold the auctions there anymore due to elf n safety concerns about the drains, damp, and the general state of the building inside.I think the auctions will now be held in the Charlton centre until something more suitable can be found.Thats why they shut it down.

There's a half page feature on The Allotment in the Dover Express today giving opening times and phone number.

Haven't seen the Express yet but had a look in the Allotment window earlier and they have a very varied menu that seems not so expensive as before. Full English breakfast cooked to order for £. 4. 95 seems very good value.

For some reason the Express has just reprinted an article from last summer, that's the Express for us
I shall look forward to trying the allotment again, hope it's up to previous quality.

And another due to open on cannon St!
Could be due to the popularity of hair and beauty course at Dover college.

Maybe we can say goodbye to the one in Worthington Street that has been rarely open recently?

The unit between Clinton cards and St Mary's church has been taken by people selling everything for £5 cannot remember who was in there before. Yet another barber has opened next to the Heart Research charity shop.
