Footfall from cruise line passengers improves year on year Keith with many using the tour bus for sightseeing then enjoying what we have in town mainly St Mary's and the town hall. Spending is much higher from the crew members who fill up their baskets with Toblerone in Poundland, toiletries in Savers, clobber in Sports Direct finally homing in on Argos to spend what remains of their tips.

Certainly the ones I saw were passengers of different nationalities
I only put it on here as a local shopkeeper only last week was saying they never came into town

The owners of the building housing Store 21 have not let the grass grow, a sign up this morning saying Tersons "To Let". Will be interesting to see if the rent is realistic bearing in mind the opening of the DTIZ in about 9 months time.

I just know one couple who said that the food was of the usual good standard of our local curry houses but more expensive, paying a bit for the decor I suppose.
It will have trouble picking up passing trade being just off the main drag and it is easy to walk past
without realising it is a restaurant.

It has had nothing but good reviews on the Facebook group where I am an admin, some have compared them to Namaste, we have not tried them so I cannot judge.

I've tried Virsa and it's pretty good but not a patch on Namaste which is in a league of its own in our area.

Confusion still in Poundland with staff acting as bouncers to stop people inadvertently jumping the queue. Doesn't help matters when one till is closed and another only accepts card payments.

Couple of things I noticed this morning, the unit at the front of the Charlton Centre last tenanted by A & S appliances is now selling military memorabilia and the tailor in Worthington Street is still in his smaller unit.

Great marketing and hides a multitude of sins. Well done Tersons.
