Things starting to take shape in Poundland with the arrival of a "please que here" sign but problems persist with the self service tills. I couldn't put my basket down as the lady to my left had her bag down ready to fill up, the manager admitted that they were too close together!!

I wondered what all those people were doing in town this morning dressed as Spanish waiters!

Maybe after all these years he has managed to get a 'proper' job.

Always struck me as odd having two DIY stores up at Whitfield and nothing in town. I found it quicker from where I live to use Wilkinson's in Folkestone Town Centre rather than travel to Whitfield.

The shop that sells ladies clothing and other stuff between Hinds and EE has been sealed off on behalf of the landlords with a lot of stock inside. Opposite this morning is the health check van which is not doing much business due to lack of footfall in the heavy rain.

The units in post 939 are going up for auction with Barnard Marcus, could be of interest to Love Dover.

I'm sure the keeper of the LoveDover account on here will be delighted to post letting us all know whether these properties are included in their regeneration plans.

Isn't it a tad early for the charity to have made that much of a return on its investment?

I don't remember when the ownership of the building changed Buttock but not very much in rent would have been paid by now. I also don't remember how much was paid for said building and therefore how much of Town Council(taxpayers) money is left over for buying up other properties.
Someone must have the exact details.

Their existing property should provide a good sized deposit and guarantee for a mortgage if they have them in their agenda.
I seem to remember those properties being mentioned before.

There is a keeper of the LoveDover account on here that is called LoveDover before the body called LoveDover came to fruition and isn't associated in any way.....

Now I understand, You and one other keep a Love Dover account on here and neither of you have any connection to Love Dover. If only everyone was as straightforward as you three life would be so much simpler.

They sold at auction at beginning of Dec last for around £270 000 if memory serves.

The shop mentioned in 951 is back up and running again but the former William Hill outlet in Pencester Rd still does not have a "to let" sign outside.
