Business must be very good in the Summer if it pays the all year round rent and business rates.

Noticed this morning a new shop called Dover Domestic in the high street that appear to be selling second hand cookers and microwave ovens. The India House restaurant is re-opening soon under new management.

Don't think so Keith, they have had a few bad reviews on Trip Advisor prior to closing down but no suggestion of bad hygiene.

Sue Nicholas started a new thread on this group about the Christmas lights which disappeared while I was typing a comment.
Just curious where it went and did anyone else see it, I don't think I am suffering from dementia.

Thanks Howard.
My comment was to explain what Sue was talking about, boils down to the Christmas Lights have cost an extortionate £22,000.

Your entire post was "A very long and interesting thread on another forum" - which doesn't tell us anything (including which other forum to look at).
Feel free to start another topic, but please include something for us to discuss rather than a guessing game.

Chris is right
Sue, your post explained nothing that is what my lost comment was trying to do so others would know what you meant. Nobody on here is a thought reader as far as I know.

Ok Howard, here goes short with the version.
The post was about the disappointing Christmas lights that appear in the DTC costings as "Festival Lights" costed at £22,000 which Chris Precious tried to justify. The group Sue referred to is Dover for Disgruntled Dovorians on Facebook.

Our Christmas Lights are absolutely disgusting
Three Dog Bones outside the Town Council, spikes up the lamp posts
All a very sad indication, of the imagination of our elders, and purse holders.
The children of this Town, gaze on nothing, to bring wonder and joy.
