Mr Watson needs to understand a few elementary lessons if he wishes to remain Deputy Leader.

Excellent news!

Looks like it's "The wogs begin at Calais" again, to quote George Wigg, Labour MP for Dudley, in 1945.

I recently spent the week back in the manor (Canterbury, Deal and Dover mainly) and was shocked to see the number of jobs being advertised. Almost everywhere I went, there were vacancies - mostly in the services sector but also in retail. I then spent some time in London where the same was true and once again I was reminded of how many eastern Europeans are employed there.
This all got me thinking, where on earth are their replacements going to come from post Brexit? If people are, as is reported, returning to the EU due to Brexit, why on earth is this to be celebrated? Is there really an army of passport waving Brits ready to take their place? Going to be interesting!

Some are returning home due to stronger economies there but most are settled here and will continue working hoping that better job opportunities come along. Pleased that there are plenty of job vacancies as it will mean higher wages Rather than expecting the taxpayer to subsidise employers.

Couldn't have said it better myself...so I won't attempt too.

Those migrant farm workers like Raul are only a fraction better than slaves and this situation has been highlighted for quite a few years but nothing ever seems to be done about it.
I remember seeing a programme ages ago where the living conditions looked far worse than those of the pre-war hop pickers. The migrant workers featured by the time they had "paid" for food and accommodation (a wooden shed) were left with virtually nothing, all run by gang masters like now.

Years ago there used to be a system known as VOLAG, later replaces by SAWS (Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme). It worked perfectly well allowing
seasonal workers to come over here (getting a code 4 stamp in their passport) to pick fruit/veg etc much as young Brits have gone to Europe to help with the grape harvest etc.
The workers did NOT expect local councils to house them, or their families to join them expecting 'free' education for their kids etc.
To quote from the 'leaked' H.O. document 'A scheme for temporary or seasonal workers could be introduced'.
It will be.
Here's some background :-

Getting back to the issue of deportations we are always being told that we cannot over rule any EU Law/directive but a new ruling came in from our own Government in May last year that has resulted in 5 times the number of deportations than before yet we are still members of the EU.

WOW! I'm impressed, won't be long now then before we're into double figures!

Never under estimate the UK's ability to misunderstand/interpret EU legislation. Half the things we say we cannot do because of EU law is simply because of our own issues.

“After Brexit, some are worried that the UK is about to begin a period of economic and geopolitical decline. But what this audit makes clear is that far from beginning the Brexit process from a position of weakness, the UK is in a remarkably strong position.
“When you analyse data regarding British military strength, technological prowess and cultural prestige, the UK is second only to the United States in its capabilities. Even in relation to economic or diplomatic capacity, it is consistently in the top five countries.”
