Ken touches upon an interesting point there. From different conversations o have had I am sensing the older generation, say the over 50's, really want out but the 18 to 40's prefer to stay in. It could all decide on the views of the fortysomethings.
The latest YouGov poll states Leave 38%, remain 37% and undecided 25%.

I saw the news clip featuring Age Concern Dover.I think Ken is right ,I think Charlie would have got a few home truths.By the way I thought the Centre looked very smart.

Maybe Charlie cancelled his photo opportunity once he realised he might have a tough time from people like those interviewed.

Many interesting points by Ralph, Paul M, Ken, Jan, Howard, Ray, Sue.It is worth noting Sue's reaction to Mr Elphicke's stance of remaining in the EU.Sue has been a staunch member and supporter of the Conservative Party for a number of years.I will not go into Mr Elphicke motives because we are all agreed that Charlie is a career politician.I wonder when he was first selected and before 2015, whether he was asked about his views on the EU.The reason I am asking this, is because several Tories including Association Officers declined to canvass for Charlie prior to May7th 2015 and instead helped Craig Mackinlay in Thanet.I understand there is some ill feeling resulting in Charlie declining to go to the Mayor making at Deal Town Council after May7th.It is worth noting that the Thanet MP Craig Mackinlay attended. I understand that Conservative Central Office had to bus in canvassers from other areas because of lack of local activists willing to canvas for Charlie before May7th.
Did Charlie suddenly become a Europhile or did he, at his first selection interview give the impression he was anti EU..I understand that the majority of Dover and Deal Conservative Association are and for a number of years anti EU.
After June 23rd whatever happens.Questions will be asked about the sides, MPs have taken and votes of no confidence in sitting MPs prior to the General Election.I believe the buzz word will be deselection and it will involve all parties apart from the LibDems.

Good Evening Ray, Bristol? Has Charlie been told yet.?
Interesting to note that Charlie's House of Commons secretary is Mrs Katy Eustice .The wife of George EusticeMP who is a Cornwall MP..Mr Eustice announced on Monday that he is backing the Out campaign..In 1990s Mr Eustice was a UKIP candidate..
Maybe interesting conversations in the Eustice and Elphicke households?

I suppose these days instead of being criticised for employing their own wifes as a secretary they've started employing each others wifes. Perhaps they throw their car keys into a bowl to decide who gets who?!

If tthat is going on Paul it all must be happening in Thanet as that is where the Dover and Deal party faithful go at election times. Like the song goes "Margate swings like a pendulum do", something like that anyway.

You are right Howard. The sooner there is one "out"group the better.
Then all people whether they are Conservative,UKIP,Labour or another party voter must immediately start working together. The need for a "Leave" win must outweigh any previous political preference.
The Conservative ministers and their supporters must work with Nigel Farage and his supporters.
It was unhelpful for Boris to say he would not share a platform with Nigel.
While Nigel has made some comments I do not agree with he must be respected as the person who got the referendum in the first place.
If(?) Boris is so committed to the "Leave" campaign he should be willing to work with UKIP supporters, the vast majority are good people ,not racists, who just want a strong independent Britain.
Also, the Conservative ministers should stop being so polite to Mr.Cameron if he is bending the truth.
3.8m voted Ukip last year .11.3 m voted Conservative but many expected something very different from Mr.Cameron.Many Labour voters may also think that the E.U.has not helped their job and wages prospects and has had a negative effect on their schools and health services.
If these all vote "Leave" it is still possible to win.

Philip Davies Conservative, Shipley
I wholeheartedly agree with what my hon. Friend is saying. On TTIP, does he agree that the following is an interesting factor in any cost-benefit analysis? We are always told that if we want a free trade agreement with the EU, we will have to accept free movement of people. Does he think America will accept the free movement of people—of all EU citizens—into the United States when it signs its free trade agreement with the EU?
Philip Davies a proper Conservative MP that puts country before career.

The US only sees the continent of Europe as one country for them to sell to and have military bases on.
Just read this rubbish from the "People's Party" where they claim the EU gave us paid holiday and sickness entitlement, equal pay for equal work, all of which we had many years in advance of us joining. When I first started work as a gopher I got full sick pay from the beginning and also a postal order from the DHSS so I was "quids in". Nowadays most employers just pay the derisory statutory sick pay to long term staff. They are obviously aiming their campaign those under 40 who wouldn't know this.

The trouble is Howard that as ever we overestimate our own importance. Having just spent a week in Florence where I daily read the International New York Times, also glancing at the Italian Papers, the world outside does not actually seem to give a toss whether we remain in or get out!
Frankly, returning to the UK, as ever, it seems a bit like returning to a third world country. The train connection was late and full of scruffy obese people who insisted on saying f**k every second word which no-one turns a hair about nowadays.
Meanwhile the Border Farce officer at Gatwick is processing the queue at snail's rate and rather than letting me pass 'without let or hindrance' my passport having 'satisfactorily shown nationality and identity' insists on wanting to know where I a white male 64 yr old has come from as I might be a drugs smuggler or a terrorist apparently! FFS!

This man is forever being caught out with fake statistics and he still persists with the idea that low wages are good for the economy.

Breaking news. The Leader of the Conservatives MEPs in the European Parliament Mr Syed Kamall has just joined the Leave campaign and advocates leaving the EU.
Mr Kamall helped David Cameron with his so-called recent negotiations with the EU.
Major blow for David Cameron.

Lower Wage then it is now would bring more starter jobs for the young ,no hairdresser is going to pay a young person £8 or more to pick up hair off the floor ,no companys can take on unskilled men now (Not many anyway) lots of workshops are now not taking on unskilled workers and building sites are also cutting back on their unskilled workers .
