Kent Police is appealing for witnesses to a collision in London Road, Dover. It occurred at a pedestrian crossing near to the junction of Coombe Valley Road at around 2.42pm yesterday.

Kent Police officers are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 17-year-old boy reported missing, who has links with Dover.

A proposal to reduce the size of Dover District Council from 45 elected members to 32 was passed at a meeting on 6 December 2017. If agreed, the new ward boundaries and council size would take effect for the May 2019 full council election.

A funding boost from Dover District Council means that increased loans are available to transform empty properties into homes in the area, topping up loans available from Kent County Council's No Use Empty Scheme from £25k to £40k per home.

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Dover. The incident happened at a residential address on Tower Hill at about 10.30pm on Thursday.

Riverside renovations in central Dover and repairs to the garages at the rear of Dolphin House have been given the go ahead by DDC's Cabinet. This is part of ongoing works to improve the appearance of the area and strengthen connections between the new St James development and other key areas in the town centre.

Detectives investigating a reported burglary in Clarendon Place have released an e-fit of the suspect. Nothing was reported stolen during the incident on Friday 10 November 2017 but two suspects were disturbed when the victim entered the house at around 3pm.

A man has been charged after officers were called to a report of a burglary at a building site in Folkestone Road on Sunday.
