Kent Police is appealing for witnesses following a report of an attempted robbery in Dover. The incident is alleged to have happened in Market Square between 1.40pm and 1.45pm on Sunday

Kent Police is warning motorists of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol in support of a month-long national campaign, which launched last week.
Call for development sites as Dover District Council reviews Local Plan

Dover District Council is asking land owners to suggest sites that they consider have future development potential as part of the district's Local Plan Review. The Local Plan covers the period to 2037 and will identify land for housing, employment and leisure development.
Police officers are to begin using drones in Kent

Kent Police is to add the use of drones to the ways in which it keeps the county safe. Officers have been trialling the unmanned aerial vehicles since 2015, and drones will now be used in Kent from today.

Jason Lee Cox was sentenced on 6 June 2017 at Folkestone Magistrates' Court. He pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and two counts of shoplifting.

Kent Police is investigating a report of a fire in rubbish bins by a property in Leighton Road, Dover, which took place between midnight and 3.05am on Saturday 24 June 2017. The house was also damaged by fire during the incident.

A robber has received a 54 month jail sentence after a man was pulled to the floor and beaten in Dover last year. Sean Deane, who had been drinking and had taken an ecstasy pill, was walking to a party with a friend when he attacked a man in Priory Road.
