Dover Harbour Board, owner and operator of the Port of Dover, has announced the appointment of Doug Bannister as Chief Executive. Doug has an extensive record of successful leadership in the maritime, aviation and ports sectors, and will take up his position by the beginning of March 2019.

A coffee morning is being held at a Dover church this Saturday (8 September) for a Christian children's charity. It is taking place from 10am to 12 noon in Footprints @ The Beacon, at 37 London Road, Dover CT17 0SS.

A partnership project is set to deliver a major £150k boost for the environment and local communities to help celebrate the River Dour - including restoration work, volunteer training, events, and a dedicated riverside education and volunteering hub.

All food businesses within the St James development have achieved the top food hygiene rating of a 5 at their recent food hygiene inspection.

As part of their commitment to continue to develop accessible facilities, Dover District Council is to provide Changing Places toilets as part of new build facilities at Kearsney Abbey and the Dover District Leisure Centre.
