14:047297Mandi I wish you all the luck and support in the world. I said some time ago that I thought you would make a brilliant councillor and I still think that. You work damned hard in everything you do and I really really hope you get in. Also you're standing for the best party which makes me hope you get in even more!
Good luck hun - you are the best.
Lotsa love from Jacqui x

14:547300Thanks Jacqui and me old pal Marek. Cannot believe he said something nice lolol he normally picks on me
If I am successful I will work hard, and will give it 110%. No one can ask any more than that.
I don't plan on hopping around every ward if I do not get in at st Radigunds. It isn't the right thing to do, plus the electorate hopefully see straight through those who do just that just to try and get in as people just looking to attempt to boost their ego.
I have so much to give, and I know that win or lose. I will continue to do just that.

17:207306Sorry, I'm new but didn't the Conservatives say that they didn't think political parties should stand for election on Town Councils?
I'm also slightly confused as to how an independant would be selected to stand as a candidate.

19:237314You are right there Sid,then Roger Frayne stood and got elected, but it is new the Libbie coming out, they might be bored as there doesn't seem to be any other elections about at the moment. As I have said Mandi,I admire antone who stands because it is not easy and you have to want to get involved with the Community. On a personal note I always said that a Councillor should live or work in that ares, then I moved to St Rad's ward!but I am always in my Ward and my background and intrests are still there. In fact I spend more time in the Ward than I do at home sometimes.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

i wish you well(but not as\ well as the labour candidate~)
Sid

10:557379Regarding St Radigunds (rather than those standing), it like the rest of the town needs a little TLC and a lot of talking up.
We too often in this town let our concern/annoyance/disgust at the behaviour of the tiny minority take our attention away from the good things.
Of course we have to deal with these people and the consequences of their behaviour but we MUST never forget the decent (often silent) majority who are the ones who go out and elect political representatives and are the REAL heartbeat and flavour of our town.
I wish all who are standing good luck

I understand your comment keith. It is only natural that as a Labour man, you would want to whole heartedly support your candidate, but I will take your good luck in the spirit in which I know it is meant, so I can only thank you for that.
I have said many times before that regardless of party, it is about the person, and what they can give.
I don't ever think "Oh keith Sansum, the labour guy".
I say judge people on what they have delivered, what they can give, what they have given.
It does not, or should not matter what political party you stand for, but about working together for a greater goal.

14:197392Actually it doesmatter which party you support.....indeed, evidence of what you can personally deliver matters, but if you are charismatic, talented, sklled and a BNP rep you will not get my vote.

14:397394Sorry Keith only just spotted the question in your previous post.
Regarding the school. To close the school at the time would not have been a good thing. My reason for this is as follows.
Travel distance to another school for parents already perhaps on low income.
Schools are a primary part of social gathering as well as education. To take away the school would have in my opinion had a detremental effect for some mothers who's only contact with other mothers and fathers would be via school.
Primary schools in any area are an integral part and heart of a community, and as such play a huge role.
The school has stayed open, which is great for all concerned, and appears to be making excellant progress.
Please note these are my personal opinions nothing else.
Hope that helps answer where I stand regarding the school.
Do you like them Sue???? I think they are pretty good

Interesting reply, I thought at the time you were not happy at the way the school was run, and actally wanted the petitions to keep the school open withdrawn from some shops displaying them?
It's just that is what local St Radigunds residents have been telling me, but if you say thats incorrect fair enough.

I asked this in light of also asking at the time if a carnival float could be had on the school closure and your carnival queen to be at photo shoot supporting the school(which was declined)
I'm sure there were good reason's for this and i;m happy to hear them.

07:357409Keith please answer this question. Why do you try to discredit me????
I NEVER SAID THAT AT ALL!!!!!! NEVER!!!!!! I am really angry that you even dare to insinuate such drivel.
How people in St radigunds would even be able to say that as you say, is beyond me.
If you have any doubts as to how I felt about ANY of the schools earmarked for closure at that time then I suggest you speak to Jan Tranter who knows FULLY that I supported them ALL remaining open.
Yet again Keith you fire off without knowing the truth, or distorting it.
This is not the Keith Sansum I thought I knew. I at least thought you to be fair.
WHEN did you ask about the use of Miss Dover???? It certainly wasn't me you asked that is a sure fact. Miss Dover has ALWAYS supported the town in any way possible.
St Radigunds Children Club enter the parade year after year, as did Melbourne and Powell School to raise their profile when they were earmarked for closure.
Keith Please stop making things up. It doesn't look good for you at all, and I am disgusted that you have even come out with such absolute rubbish

07:407410I'm being fair by giving you the opportunity to deny these claims, which you have, so thats it, i'm just telling you what i'v heard on the grapevine, if its untrue you have nowt to worry about.
ITS healthy debate,
Yet again I fire off? all i did was asked a question you answered it, and thats it.
can;t be fairer than that thats what forum's are about

07:457411Now Perhaps correct me if I am wrong, but during the campaign to keep St radigunds School open. Did you not have a stand with petitions on by St Marys church?????

07:497414Then perhaps I should trawl through the thousands of DCAL photos and find the one I took of Miss Dover and her court not only signing the petition, but with yourself aswell AT the stand.
One thing I do have is a good memory
