Almost right. I do remember feeling unstable and uncertain when Dave resigned at a time of significant change for the UK. Perhaps less so when Mrs May felt she had to resign, also at a time of ditto. A change of leader would not result in a change of policy - there is no disagreement between political parties so nothing would change.

We've recently seen that with Rishi Sunak being on the end of some vicious briefing about his financial affairs ahead of Johnson's fine (which turned out to be unnecessary because Sunak had one too), with Angela Raynor as they really, really fear her and now we see that Sue Gray's team is being attacked.
Conclusion: The Sue Gray report is going to be seriously bad. My instinct is that Tory MPs are waiting for the smoking gun to get rid of Johnson - they know he hasn't got the legs to last until 2024.ray hutstone likes this - Keith Sansum1

29 April 2022 20:17376654Sadly our bungling PM has done just that , and his back benchers have shown they put there seats before the electorate .
In normal circumstances you would look across at alternatives able to make a new Govt, but there cones another problem , as iv been highlighting.
The only party able to win enough seats is labour , but they are so divided, and an internal war still taking place , that we are heading towards a reduced majority, but none the less the Tories being elected for another five years .ALL POSTS ARE MY OWN PERSONAL VIEWS
